The positive impact of inventions on human well-being is widely acknowledged, as discoveries, innovation, and patents are the engines that drive improvement in our lives. Yet something fundamental is often overlooked: Inventions don’t spontaneously spring forth like weeds; people with vision are the sole source of inventions and the progress they create. It’s time to consider that inventors might be our greatest natural resource.
Join Richard Cahoon, Adjunct Professor in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, as we delve into the question: Are people born inventors or can they be fostered through education? We’ll also take a fresh look at the unique role of inventors in society and hopefully gain new insight into how to nurture, support, and celebrate our innovators.
