As the SVP for Diversity and Employee Engagement, Magda develops strategies that infuse greater equity in Verizon’s processes, behaviors, and operations to ensure that all employees have equal opportunity. She leads global initiatives to expand mentorship and development opportunities for women, people of color, LGBTQ, people with disabilities and neurodiversity, as well as veterans.
Magda’s leadership has resulted in industry praise from Forbes, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, and Human Rights Campaign. She has been twice recognized as one of the 50 Most Powerful Latinas in America, a Top Executive in Corporate Diversity by Black Enterprise, and a President’s Award recipient from the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Magda is a Big Red graduate and serves on the Cornell University Council and Cornell Mosaic. Magda’s best accomplishment is being a mother to three bright, talented contributors to society.
