The perception of cannabis use has changed drastically over the last several years. It has morphed from being legal strictly for medicinal purposes to currently having recreational status within 23 states. Even as the cannabis industry flourishes, there continue to be social, political, and economic implications of descheduling and regulating cannabis at the federal level.
The SC Johnson College of Business Office of Diversity and Inclusion has put together an expert panel of professors and industry experts who will discuss the cannabis industry through the lens of systemic racism, the use of cannabis as a patent medicine, and the path from prohibition to decriminalization.
