The eighth annual Institutional Real Estate Allocations Monitor, sponsored by Cornell University's Baker Program in Real Estate and Hodes Weill & Associates, is a survey of global institutions including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments and foundations. The Allocations Monitor assesses institutional investment allocations and objectives in real estate on a global basis. In 2020, in excess of 200 institutional investors from over 20 countries participated in the survey, representing over $1.0 trillion of real estate assets under management. The 2020 Allocations Monitor focuses on the global economic impact of COVID-19 on institutional capital flows to the real estate asset class, the role and performance of real estate in institutional portfolios, and the impact of institutional trends on the investment management industry.
