As the corporate landscape continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, board members face increasingly complex business, regulatory, and geopolitical challenges. Join us for an hour-long “fireside chat” between faculty member LizAnn Eisen and Bill Grabe, a board member at Lenovo and Gartner with over 30 years of experience in the boardroom. This program is the second in a series leading up to eCornell’s premier certificate program on board governance in-person on Cornell Tech’s New York City campus on November 3rd and 4th.
Professor Eisen and Mr. Grabe will discuss boardroom lessons he has learned over the years, including ways to be a successful “new” board member, how to prepare for unexpected events like regulatory inquiries and activist investors, and managing relationships with the CEO and CLO. This discussion will help board members elevate their skills in the boardroom to make their boards more efficient and effective.
