In this panel, we will explore the role that restorative justice practices (RJP) can play both in and outside the higher education Title IX process to address harm in the aftermath of sexual violence. Dr. Amy Miele and Dr. Julie Shackford-Bradley will share their experiences with restorative justice and Title IX; what they have learned regarding the impact on survivors/victims; and the ways that accused and responsible parties can take accountability, make amends, and rebuild trust within their community.
Join Perdita Das-Humphrey, the Assistant Dean at Cornell University’s Hans Bethe House, for the third event of a five-part series. This conversation is part of a larger series that delves into the practical and theoretical frameworks of RJP within college and university settings.
