In this virtual presentation, we will review how the COVID-19 epidemic emerged in New York state, how our scientific understanding and policies developed to the present day, and what we might expect for the remainder of 2021. Following the presentation, we will have an open question-and-answer period with Dr. Eli Rosenberg.
An Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the University at Albany School of Public Health, Dr. Rosenberg specializes in the epidemiology of infectious diseases. Since the outset of the pandemic, he has worked closely with the New York State Department of Health on activities and studies addressing critical aspects of SARS-CoV-2 transmission, surveillance, prevention, and treatment.
