India has been one of the fastest-growing economies in the world for over a decade. From rapid population growth to robust innovation, India’s financial markets have reflected the economy’s growth and provided favorable returns to both domestic and foreign investors. Given the uncertainty in geopolitics, world trade, and regulatory governance, however, India’s markets may face a myriad of potential headwinds.
Please join Lourdes Casanova, the director of Cornell’s Emerging Markets Institute, and Anne Miroux, faculty fellow at Cornell’s Emerging Markets Institute, for a riveting discussion on the current state of Indian financial markets, the drivers behind market activity, and the outlook for the markets. The panel will feature expert opinions from Di Chen, a portfolio manager at Fidelity Investments with extensive experience investing in Indian companies, and Mark Mobius, founder of Mobius Capital Partners who is credited with pioneering the emerging markets asset class. The event will be moderated by Ravin Nanda, a Cornell University undergraduate student and EMI Fellow.
