Authors Ta-Nehisi Coates, Tayari Jones, and Edwidge Danticat, along with U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo, join scholars from around the country to celebrate Toni Morrison, M.A. ’55, as Cornell University’s College of Arts & Sciences hosts a reading of her first novel, “The Bluest Eye.”
The reading is a repeat performance of our October 8 event and features a total of 122 readers in a full reading of the novel, portions of which will also be read in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German. The reading and a February 18 roundtable discussion are parts of a two-day celebration of Morrison’s 90th birthday.
