Value chains represent the intersection of trade, investment, and production, significantly driving the increased connectivity of global economies. In particular, the role of emerging market economies in fostering global connectivity and growth through value chain enhancement has grown tremendously over the past decade.

Hosted by the Emerging Markets Institute, this webinar will highlight the factors behind emerging markets’ contributions to global reliance on value chains. The panel will feature Dr. Lourdes Casanova and Dr. Anne Miroux of Cornell University, as well as Sunjay Kapur, Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Sona Comstar, an Indian-origin global automotive systems & components manufacturer, and Hernan Saenz, senior partner and Head of Global and Americas Performance Improvement Practice at Bain and Company, who will discuss which emerging market countries have contributed the most to value chain growth, the outlook on emerging market value chains, and potential disruptions for global value chains in this tumultuous economic environment.
