Small Businesses and COVID-19
Legal Matters, Challenges, and Opportunities
Wednesday, July 01, 2020, 1pm EDT
Event Overview
The lifting of shutdown orders and stay-at-home ordinances poses a number of challenges for small business owners. Reopening requires careful consideration of safety measures and strategies for rebuilding customer relationships.
The prolonged shutdown may have also left small business owners facing contractual and legal matters that could require bringing in a lawyer at a time when budgets are already strained. In some cases, small business owners might even need to consider whether they should pivot to new opportunities brought on by the COVID-19 crisis.
Marlene van Nelson, owner of the Pennsylvania law practice Trellis Legal, LLC, has been working with small business clients throughout the pandemic, and she'll discuss how to navigate legal considerations, business relationships, and funding.
As a small business owner herself, Marlene will share how she has implemented these strategies in her own business.
