Miguel I. Gómez is the Robert G. Tobin Associate Professor at the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management and Director of the Food Industry Management Program. His research program is concentrated on two interrelated areas under the umbrella of food marketing and distribution: understanding supply chain competitiveness and sustainability, and investigating food markets from farm to table. His research extends to economic development and environmental economics issues in global food supply chains, with an emphasis in Latin America.
Oliver Gao is Professor in the graduate fields of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cornell Institute of Public Affairs (CIPA), and Air Quality in Earth and Atmospheric Science at Cornell University. His research focuses on transportation systems, environment (especially air quality and climate change), energy, and sustainable development. Dr. Gao also studies sustainable food systems, quantifying and mitigating green-house gas emissions from food supply chains. His research projects include work focused on green supply chain initiatives, including alternative commuter transportation models which are more convenient and energy-efficient.
Vishal Gaur is Emerson Professor of Manufacturing Management and professor of operations, technology, and information management at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. From 2014 to 2019, he served as Associate Dean of MBA Programs. Dr. Gaur’s research interests lie in the design and optimization of data-driven business models. His current research projects deal with econometric analysis and optimization in retailing, supply chains, and linking operations with the financial performance of firms.
