eCornell’s Steps to Get Started for Corporate Administrators and Students
Congratulations on your eCornell enrollment! Some helpful instructions to make your online transition as seamless as possible appear below, with many more answers available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week in eCornell’s Knowledge Base.
Solutions to Maximize Your Experience:
How to Enroll
- Please note that in order to be reimbursed for the cost of courses, you need to seek your manager’s approval prior to registering for courses. Please see your local Human Resources Department for further information about qualifying for or enrolling in eCornell programs.
- New Students
- From your company’s eCornell portal page, select the course or certificate.
- Select the start date that best aligns with your schedule.
- Keep shopping if you want to add more courses.
- Check out if you are ready to proceed.
- Create a new account.
- Follow the prompts to enter your email address and create a password.
- Complete your profile.
- Add your group code in the group code field about 3/4 of the way down the page. Find your group code on your company’s eCornell portal. You need this specific code listed in your profile to proceed and complete enrollment.
- Complete your purchase.
- Check the screen and your email for your transaction receipt.
- Returning Students
- Select the course or certificate.
- Select the start date that best aligns with your schedule.
- Keep shopping if you want to add more courses.
- Check out if you are ready to proceed.
- Complete your profile.
- Note: You may need to add your group code for the credit card portal if it’s not already listed in your profile. Find your group code on your company’s eCornell portal. You need this specific code listed in your profile to proceed and complete enrollment.
- Complete your purchase.
- Check the screen and your email for your transaction receipt.

- I’m having trouble with my username and/or password and can’t log in. How can I fix this? (See your organization’s assigned administrator for continued issues.)
Scheduling Qs
- How can I change my course start date(s) or schedule?
- I have selected my start dates. Where can I see my schedule?
- How do I view my schedule?
- The course start date is located directly after the course code in this format: YYYYMMDD.
- Example: CEPL551 – 20130724_01 is a course that begins on July 24th, 2013.
Support Qs
- Who may I contact for technical issues with my course experience?
- How do I message my instructional team?
- How can I find a copy of my receipt? (Check with your organization’s assigned administrator to confirm this option is applicable to you.)
Completion Qs
- What happens if I don’t complete all the requirements before the end of the two weeks?
- Where’s my confirmation of completion letter?
- How do I print my certificate?
- How may I order a hard copy of my certificate?
- Does the certificate say eCornell or Cornell University?
- I need to take a course again. Where can I see the start dates I have to pick from?
- Once instruction ends, how long will I have access to the course?
Corporate Drop / Transfer Policy
With the move to the new student portal, the ability to self-transfer is no longer available.
Please email droptransfer@ecornell.com to request a transfer. Be sure to provide the course name, and an alternate start date from the eCornell calendar. (To determine eCornell course dates, log into your student portal, add this course to your cart, review the date selections offered, and select one that fits your schedule. NOTE: Do not complete the purchase.)
