AI is transforming how professionals across industries approach tasks like writing, research, data analysis, and workflow management. Yet knowing how to use AI effectively and when to trust its outputs is key to getting results.

Join this workshop to learn about the state of AI tools, how to use them effectively, and to build an intuition for when AI works, and why it sometimes doesn't. This workshop is for those who want to learn the fundamentals of how AI works to become more effective users. This workshop will cover the fundamentals of working with AI tools, including effective prompting, leveraging built-in capabilities, and selecting the right tool for specific use cases.

By the end of the session, participants will have a clear understanding of AI fundamentals, practical skills to apply AI in daily tasks, and confidence in choosing and using AI tools effectively.

For this workshop, participants will be using web-based AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. They will need to come prepared with access to at least one of these tools.

Participants will also explore examples of agentic AI tools, including Claude Code and Claude Cowork. They are welcome to follow along and experiment with these tools if they already have access, but access is not required for participation.
