About Wendy Leuenberger

Dr. Wendy Leuenberger is a quantitative ecologist specializing in modeling, data integration, and analysis of citizen science data, all of which roll up to support insect conservation. Dr. Leuenberger uses sophisticated statistical models to understand how human-induced environmental change impacts species and ecosystem dynamics and advises on appropriate conservation actions in light of her findings.

Dr. Leuenberger’s research focuses specifically on the effects of insecticide regulations on bee communities in the United States and Canada. She works with a network of conservation practitioners, policy groups, and academics to translate research findings into impact.
