Simone Sidel
Dr. Simone Sidel received her BA in Biology in 2006 from The University of Rochester and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 from St. George’s University. She completed her clinical year of studies at The Ohio State University. After veterinary school, Dr. Sidel completed a rotating small animal internship at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency in New York City before moving to Chicago where she practiced emergency medicine, shelter medicine, and general practice medicine for five years. This work helped her realize that her ultimate calling is supporting families managing animal behavior problems. Dr. Simone Sidel is currently a resident with the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists. She sees behavior cases full time at Behavior Vets in Colorado, but remains active in general practice care, and is passionate about low stress handling in general practice, emergency care, and specialty care. In addition, her background in emergency medicine has strengthened her skills in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, which often play a role in behaviors . She is a member of AVMA and the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists. When she isn’t focusing on her clinical practice, Dr. Sidel lives for live music, hiking, and skiing in beautiful Colorado.
