Jess Hayward
Jess Hayward, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Biomedical and Translational Sciences and Cornell Veterinary Biobank at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hayward’s primary research interest is genetics and genomics of veterinary species — dogs, cats, horses. She has a keen interest in using liquid biopsies as a biomarker, specifically for canine cancer, to develop earlier detection tests and improve outcomes. The overarching goal of Dr. Hayward’s research is to improve the health of our animal companions.
