Doug Baker

Doug Baker is the Vice President of Industry Relations at FMI – The Food Industry Association, where he facilitates professional, non-competitive collaboration among member communities across private brands, technology, supply chain, and risk management. With a career spanning four decades in the grocery industry, Baker has held roles in retail operations, consumer packaged goods manufacturing, brand development, marketing, and association management. Baker began his career in 1984 at Fry’s Food Stores, in store operations. He went on to leadership roles at prominent companies like Kraft Foods Group, Inc. and Federated Group, LLC, where he served as the Vice President of Sales before joining FMI. At FMI, Baker contributes to the organization’s advocacy, collaboration, and education mission through his work with the Private Brands Council, Technology Leadership Council, Supply Chain Council, and Asset Protection Council. He spearheads initiatives that drive technological transformation, supply chain efficiency, and industry resilience, ensuring the food industry remains adaptable and responsive to crises.
