This Keynote session will delve into how nonprofits, no matter their size, can benefit from partnerships, collaborations, mergers, and shared services. It is imperative that we all reduce costs, seek new markets, share knowledge, and become more efficient, and while partnering can be beneficial to organizations, there are also many pitfalls.
As in the private sector, nearly 50 percent of mergers fail. These failures are often due to changes in leadership, lack of full understanding on the part of the board, differences in workplace culture, or a lack of due diligence before the partnership begins.
Join Joe Grasso, an expert on nonprofit finance and management, as he focuses on large nonprofits, such as colleges and hospitals, as well as on smaller social service and community-based organizations. This interactive session is designed for board members, nonprofit leaders, and the key staff who are involved in the partnership. Foundations and community organizations who help foster partnerships are also encouraged to attend.
