America is blessed with a diverse culinary tradition, but many people of color have felt excluded from the food community. In this special session, four BIPOC chefs who have made indelible marks on the food industry will reflect on their personal stories along with the challenges and barriers they have overcome.

This panel event will convene chefs Ron Duprat, Alex Askew, Lenise Lee-Streeter, and Njathi Kabui for a lively conversation on food, race, social justice, and sustainability. We’ll unpack the stories of these culinary trailblazers and examine what the future holds for them and other people from underrepresented communities in the world of culinary arts.
