Frequently Asked Questions

Faculty are paid based on the time spent for program design and delivery. We have established standard rates for each of these elements, and the project team will work with you to establish and agree on parameters and scope for each project. Additionally, the academic unit will receive a percentage of the total program revenue. eCornell factors in costs for program management and overhead when determining the pricing for programs.

We work with a wide range of organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, associations, government, and military agencies.

With a rapidly changing world, organizational challenges include developing executive leadership skills, critical thinking, strategic thinking, digital transformation, enhancing diversity initiatives, building strategic HR capability, and more.

Your time commitment can range from as little as a few hours for a live virtual session to multi-day programs delivered at one of our campuses (either the Ithaca or NYC Cornell Tech campus) or on-site with a client. You will work with the project team to determine the level of involvement for any specific program.

You will work with a project team including a Business Development Director, a Solutions Architect, a Program Manager and a Learning Consultant who oversees any eCornell program elements. The process will typically include initial discussions on the overall client objectives with the Business Development Director. You may be asked to join some calls during the sales process to help scope and define the program. You will work with the team to provide input on shaping the proposed solution and then be involved as needed for updates with the internal and client teams. Throughout the process, you will have the support of the full project team so you can focus on the program curriculum and deliverables.

A key difference between regular classroom teaching and Executive Education is the audience: You will be teaching experienced executives who have motivation to enhance their skills to drive specific business outcomes. A cornerstone for impactful Executive Education programs is an emphasis on real-world application, helping the participants make connections from theory to application. Effective program design includes opportunities for participant interaction, reflection, and learning from one another as much as learning from the faculty.

A few of our unique differentiators include:

  • Our ability to create multi-disciplinary programs that draw upon the depth and breadth of our faculty across all of Cornell’s academic units.
  • Our ability to customize a program to meet the unique needs of each client and not just offering an “off the shelf” approach.
  • Our ability to blend custom live program elements with our online, asynchronous eCornell programs.
