FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
eCornell offers a wealth of resources to ensure you have an exceptional learning experience. We encourage you to review our New Student Guide and visit our Help Page for additional support and assistance. To learn more about eCornell, we invite you to explore our: eCornell FAQ and eCornell #Impact page, as well as our official eCornell YouTube channel. Please review MassMutual’s eCornell Learner FAQ.
You must have a conversation with your manager about your interest in eCornell and get approval to utilize one (or more) of the courses available (subject to availability).Your manager would then complete the eCornell Request Form and an eCornell program manager will reach out to your manager to confirm selection and next steps.
Courses normally start every two weeks. However, there are some courses (i.e., Python) that start every three weeks. As you enroll, you can choose the start date that works best for you for each of your courses.
Please reach out to either Jill LaBranche or Spencer Uba-Oyibo, Operations eCornell program managers.
Please use your MassMutual e-mail address as this is a unique identifier that Learning & Development uses for reporting purposes.
If you need to reschedule a course, you are able to self-transfer and select a new course start. Changes to start dates, and dropping a course must be made prior to the course starting date. If you need additional assistance, please e-mail ec_helpdesk@cornell.edu.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you reschedule a course and there are subsequent courses you are enrolled in, you must make the Help Desk aware of the dates of the subsequent courses as the Help Desk does not automatically reschedule those courses.
“Your eCornell” is an opportunity for those who are interested in paying for their own additional eCornell course using MassMutual’s Operations discount. Please work with your manager or Jill LaBranche & Spencer Uba-Oyibo to learn more.
eCornell program is a stand-alone program housed within Operations and is not part of MassMutual’s Education Reimbursement Program.
MassMutual Student Testimony
“I have two certifications Executive Leadership and Business Strategy. One big thing I’ve learned from both certifications is that leading in this business we have, you shouldn’t do anything in a bubble. Pull in your business partners, mentors, and those who don’t know a lot about the specifics and get feedback. We operate a lot with the same people, and getting new ideas and perspectives are important. It really helped me feel better about reaching out to other teams and areas for help as I learn.”
