COVID-19 is one of the greatest public health crises the world has ever faced, but every day we learn more about this disease and how we can effectively control it. In this course, you will be exploring the SARS-CoV-2 and the disease COVID-19, these methods of control, including how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and how to actually identify the virus in tests. You’ll also be discussing the impact of the coronavirus on your communityNew York State by looking specifically at those who were most affected and the disproportionate burden that they bore and continue to bear. In addition, you will analyze New York State public health law; vaccination, including how the vaccines work and the types of vaccines available; and your role and responsibilities as a Public Health Fellow. Case studies used throughout the course will enable further comprehension.
